Six people were injured in a shooting in the center of London on Saturday, including a seven-year-old girl who is currently fighting for her life in the hospital, the police said.
Shots were fired from a passing car at people outside St Aloysius Catholic Church, near Euston railway station.
A memorial service had been held in the church for two British Columbians, a mother and daughter, who had passed away in November.
Seven and 12-year-old girls, as well as four adult women, were injured in the shooting.
The 12-year-old girl’s legs were injured, but the injuries are not serious, and she has already been discharged from the hospital.
Four female adults are in hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, police said.
Police Superintendent Ed Wells said an investigation into the “horrific attack” has already begun, involving local police and specialist detectives.
The shots were fired as mourners attending the service watched doves being released into the air after the ceremony, an eyewitness told MyLondon.
