“Shooting during Funeral at Maywood Church: Police Investigating”

MAYWOOD – A family dispute that occurred during a funeral service at a church ended with one person being shot.

The events were reported this Friday morning inside the Rock of Ages Baptist Church, located at 1309 W. Madison Street in the city of Maywood.

According to the Maywood Police Department, officers responded to the call of a dispute inside the church and when they tried to stop the argument, one of those involved pulled out a gun and ended up shooting a person.

As a result, two persons of interest were taken into police custody pending further investigation. So far, the state of health of the person who suffered the gunshot wound is unknown.
