In the town of Zubin Potok in northern Kosovo, there was shooting for a quarter of an hour and two explosions erupted near the town of Kosovska Mitrovica. This was reported by the Serbian newspaper “Vecherne Novosti”.
According to the newspaper explosions are recorded in Zvečan, which is located in the Kosovska-Mitrovica region of Kosovo. Earlier, there were reports of shootings in another area in northern Kosovo.
Earlier it was reported that the former police officer of the Interior Ministry of the Republic, Dejan Pantic, a suspect in terrorism, was detained at the Yarine checkpoint. Therefore the Serbs started erecting barricades in northern Kosovo and Metohija, and sirens were turned on in major cities.
Furthermore, Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic stated that Belgrade will send a request to the international KFOR mission for the deployment of military personnel on the territory of Kosovo and Metohija in accordance with the resolution of the United Nations Security Council. He stressed that Kosovo’s decision to apply for EU membership on December 15 is a violation of the Washington agreement.
