Shooting at the Bulgarian club “Tsar Boris III” in Ohrid. According to unofficial information, a gun was fired at the club from a passing car. The attack happened around 9pm last night. No one was injured in the accident.
However, this is yet another attack on a Bulgarian club in North Macedonia. The perpetrator was not caught.
Skopje’s Foreign Ministry called the incident an “act of vandalism”. Diplomats condemn the events and add that such attacks can endanger people’s lives.
There is still no official position from the Bulgarian Foreign Ministry.
It was shot several times from a moving car, journalist Vlado Perev explained to NOVA. According to him, there are at least two perpetrators and they have not been arrested.
“This is an escalation of pressure against Bulgarians in Macedonia and against Bulgaria itself. The goal is to deny Bulgarian Macedonians entry into the Constitution, change their position in Europe and speed up negotiations for Macedonian entry into the “EU, without any pretense. Hence the inaction of the police. Nobody can tell me that the police don’t know what’s going on,” Perev said. “Absolutely a state-coordinated attack. The pressure being exerted against the Macedonian Bulgarians is coordinated by bodies close to the state. You have anti-Bulgarian statements from members of parliament. How not to say that it is not coordinated” Perev said.
“Someone has to suffer in order for someone to do their job both in Skopje and in Sofia,” the reporter asked.
