Shooter on a Scooter: Chaos Unleashed on the Streets of Brooklyn and Queens

Residents of neighborhoods in Brooklyn and Queens were the target of a shooter who fired indiscriminately on the streets while riding a scooter.

On his journey, he fired at five different places, killing an elderly man and leaving three other people injured, one of them seriously.

On Jamaica Avenue, between 108th and 109th streets, there are candles on the sidewalk in honor of the 86-year-old man who lost his life at the hands of the gunman who fired indiscriminately at pedestrians passing through the area.

According to the New York Police, the wave of shootings began at eleven in the morning yesterday in Brooklyn. In addition to the fatality, there are three wounded: two stable and one serious after receiving a bullet in the cheek.

The gunman was captured after two hours of intense search. It is a 25-year-old young man of Latino origin, according to the authorities.

This case has left Richmond Hill residents shocked.

“Surprise and fear of being here, one never knows when it can happen to us too,” said Manuel Ramírez.

“Now at this time nobody wants to go out into the street with their freedom, that frightens people,” Patricio Zevallos complained.

“Imagine the children who are always outside playing…it’s really dangerous,” said Guillermo Polanco.

Authorities have not found a motive for this shooting lottery and it appears the shooter fired at random.

This information is still under development.
