Shokz has introduced the OpenRun Pro 2 headphones. The headphones are designed for athletes and provide bone-chilling sound. According to Shokz, the new version of the device has an improved battery that lasts longer and charges faster.
The Shokz OpenRun Pro 2 is equipped with the new DualPitch technology, Shokz reports advertisement. This means that the headphones have two drivers on each side, which are assigned specific roles. One driver controls the high and mid tones, the other just the bass. That would provide better sound quality, the manufacturer says. The device also has a dual microphone and an AI noise cancellation algorithm, which filters out 96.5 percent of ambient noise during phone calls.
Shokz also promises that the battery of the OpenRun Pro 2 will last longer. The first version had a battery life of 10 hours; the OpenRun Pro 2 lasts up to 12 hours on a full battery charge. If the battery is empty, it will be sufficiently charged again within five minutes for 2.5 hours of play.
The headphones weigh 30 grams, 1 gram more than before. The device is also equipped with Bluetooth 5.3 and a USB-C port to charge the battery. The headphones have an IP55 rating, which means they are resistant to water, sweat and splashing. The Shokz OpenRun Pro 2 is immediately available for purchase for 199 euros. The headphones are available in black and orange.
