The reason for the absence of Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu in public space is a heart attack.
About it writes in his Telegram channel, Advisor to the Minister of Internal Affairs Anton Gerashchenko.
“Shoigu has a heart attack. Therefore, he has not appeared in public since mid-March. Shoigu had a heart attack after a tough presentation by Putin for full failure of the invasion of Ukraine. Now he is undergoing rehabilitation at the Main Military Clinical Hospital named after N. N. Burdenko,” says Gerashchenko.
Shoigu is missing – what is known
On March 23, Russian investigative journalists drew attention to the disappearance of Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu from the information space. Surrounded by Shoigu, they claimed that he allegedly had a heart disease.
Mikhail Podolyak, adviser to the head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, called this disappearance of Shoigu “interesting”, but noted that several more key political figures of the occupying country had disappeared from the information space.
Press Secretary of the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Peskov told reporters that the Russian Defense Minister “now has a lot of worries.”
March 24 Russian media “found” the missing Shoigu at a meeting with Putin.
