New icon of the Los Angeles Dodgers poached from the LA Angels for a historic contract of 700 million dollars over 10 years, Shohei Ohtani is not ungrateful.
To thank the wife of one of his new teammates, Joe Kelly, who campaigned on social networks for the Japanese star’s arrival at the Dodgers, Shohei Ohtani gave the latter a brand new Porsche.
On her Instagram account, the scene of the surprise is relayed by Ashley Kelly herself, totally blown away in front of the delivery man giving her the keys to the car.
For the record, it is tradition in MLB for defectors recovering the number of a teammate to offer a present to the latter. Shohei Ohtani took over the number 17 previously worn by Joe Kelly. But it was the latter’s wife that he chose to compensate.
