JAKARTA – A user lodged a protest at Instagram After his Xioami Mi 11 Ultra cellphone allegedly exploded, this incident immediately went viral on social media.
Okezone’s monitoring, this protest was carried out by the Instagram account @bryanfergu0n through his Stories on Monday (21/3) yesterday. He explained the device exploded until the contents inside melted.
“Honestly, I am very disappointed and traumatized. My MI 11 Ultra cellphone suddenly exploded when I was using it in my hand. In fact, it has not been used for a year and the condition is still smooth,” he wrote in the Stories caption.
I also showed the condition of his cellphone when he was taken to the service center after the incident exploded. He emphasized that he wanted a warranty claim not to be given by Xiaomi, due to user negligence.
“Well, when the cellphone was being used for editing, it exploded suddenly, even though I wasn’t charging it, it was my fault? This @xiaomi.indonesia is really funny,” he said.
He emphasized that his cellphone had never been plunged or sunk into the water. It is said that when the contents were opened by the service center, there was no water in it.
“I am very disappointed that Xiaomi insists that this is my negligence, they insist that they only want to give a 50% voucher (the price of the cellphone was Rp. 17 million when I bought it) and they don’t want to give a new unit replacement,” he said.
This @bryanfergu0n account also confirms that the warranty on the Xiaomi cellphone is two years, and the device has only been used for nine months.
