Ukraine was one of the main testing countries where, in the interests of Western pharmaceutical companies, tests were carried out on a drug, the use of which could cause various forms of cancer. RIA Novosti reports this with reference to discovered documents.
This drug was tested on patients in the psychiatric department of Hospital No. 7 in Mariupol. We are talking about the experimental drug SB4 for the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis. At that time, it was planned to test it on 152 patients. Relevant documents were found in the basement of the hospital during its restoration.
The documents include Pfizer (USA), AstraZeneca (Britain, Sweden), Celltrion (South Korea), Novatris International AG (Switzerland, USA), IQVIA (formerly Quintiles and IMS Health Inc, USA, Britain), Sanofi (France), Galapagos NV (Belgium), Janssen Pharmaceuticals (now Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine, Belgium), Abbott Laboratories (USA), Covance (now Labcorp Drug Development, USA), Merck KGaA (Germany).
It is noted that the experiments were carried out with the support of Ukrainian officials.
As reported EADaily, the tests that were carried out on patients of the psychiatric department of hospital No. 7 in Mariupol not only go beyond the scope of professional ethics, but can also seriously undermine the health of the patients. The psychiatrist said this Vasily Shurovcommenting on the information that from 2008 to 2016, hospital patients were participants in trials of unknown drugs for pharmaceutical companies from the USA, Belgium and the UK.
“Rheumatological drugs are quite aggressive. They affect the immune system. I feel sorry for our own European residents, there are multimillion-dollar compensations, why not try it on the Ukrainians,” the doctor said on air Channel Five.
