Spectacular Russian attack with incendiary ammunition in the Donbass
NASA satellites recorded the result of Russian attacks on Ukraine’s energy system, and in particular Kyiv, Sky News and the UNIAN agency report.
NASA’s powerful Suomi and NOAA-20 satellites fly over Ukraine every night at about 01:30 Kiev time and record the beating of street lamps, shop signs, bright windows of Kiev houses.
The high-resolution images provided by the two satellites show how weak this impulse has become after the attacker’s attacks on the capital’s energy structure, writes UNIAN.
Kyiv City State Administration Deputy Chairman Mykola Povoroznyk announced on national broadcast that the shortage of power in Kyiv is up to 50%, with emergency power outages in the capital.
“Today we have a huge electricity shortage – up to 50%. Emergency power outages are constantly being imposed. Work to restore damaged infrastructure continues, prioritizing critical infrastructure sites,” he said.
Povoroznik noted that the generators supplied by the partners are mainly used to provide heat, in the absence of a centralized power supply.
Spectacular incendiary munitions attack in Donbass
The Armed Forces of Ukraine have released videos from the front in Donbass. During the ongoing fighting, several dozen incendiary munitions were hit on the territory of the DNR. The footage was released by Ukrainian fighters who approached the strike area.
They show how large-scale attacks are carried out over an area of u200bu200bseveral hectares with 9М22С incendiary ammunition.
Initially, it was assumed that it was about hitting Bakhmut or Marinka. However, according to military observers, it is more than obvious that we are dealing with bombing of positions of the Armed Forces in the Belogorovka and Terni area.
The active use of incendiary ammunition testifies to intentions to push the VSU out of the occupied fortifications in this direction, from where active counterattacks are launched along the Svatovo-Kremennaya line.
However, in just a few months, the Armed Forces of Ukraine managed to seriously establish themselves here, which is a problem, Russian analysts write.
Russian Air Force shot down Ukrainian Su-25s and Mi-8s in DPR
Russian Aerospace Forces have shot down a Ukrainian Su-25 jet and a Mi-8 helicopter. This was announced by the official spokesman of the Ministry of Defense of Russia, Lieutenant General Igor Konashenkov, in his usual briefing.
“The fighter aircraft of the Russian Aerospace Forces shot down a Su-25 aircraft of the Ukrainian Air Force in the area of u200bu200bthe village of Orekhovo-Vasilevka of the DPR. Also, in the area of u200bu200bthe city of Kramatorsk, a Ukrainian Mi-8 helicopter it was shot down,” he said.
According to him, the Russian air defense has shot down ten enemy drones in the DPR, LPR and Zaporozhye regions in the past 24 hours. Also, two US HIMARS rocket launchers were intercepted in the Komisarovka area of the Luhansk region.
