The Russian president’s rating rose to nearly 80% in March, according to the All-Russian Center for Public Opinion Research.
In March, VTsIOM registered one of the highest ratings of Russian trust in Vladimir Putin. This was announced today by the Director General of the State Sociological Agency Valery Fyodorov, quoted by TASS.
“In the last month, we have registered one of the highest ratings of the president in the 20 years since Putin led Russia – 79.6 percent. This is one of the most dynamic periods of growth of his rating,” Fedorov said on radio. “Moscow is speaking,” BTA reports.
He compared the current rating of the Russian president with the results of a poll from the spring of 2014, when the country annexed Crimea. “At the time, we had nearly 64 percent support for Putin.
We now see 79.6 percent, or another 10-15 percent on top. This is a big leap, “Fyodorov said. According to him, such an increase in the rating is primarily related to the actions of the president.
