The dismembered body of a man was found inside an apartment in Brooklyn (NYC).
The NYPD was called to the home located on Nostrand Ave. near Farragut Road in Flatbush around 7:10 p.m. Monday to conduct a welfare check. When they arrived they found a whole body divided into numerous parts, NYPD Chief of Detectives Joseph Kenny said at a press conference yesterday.

The remains of the body were found in various sections inside the refrigerator from the apartment, Kenny added. “The refrigerator was covered with duct tape… They were trying to hide, I guess, the smell inside.”
No arrests have been made. The medical examiner has yet to determine when and how the man, whose name and age were not released, originally died.
A woman inside the apartment was arrested on several warrants for petit larceny, but was not immediately charged in connection with the body. Her name has not been released.
“This is shocking for the entire building,” said to Daily News a neighbor who only identified herself as Mónica, 50 years old. “No one said they heard anything.”
Just three days earlier there was another dramatic discovery of a body in an apartment in the city: A decomposing woman was found stuffed in trash inside a home in the Bronx on Saturday afternoon. The man who rented the apartment, ex-convict Deshawn Owens, has not been charged in the case, but was arrested for brutally assaulting another woman, police said Tuesday.
