Egyptian media revealed horrific details of the events of the “Alexandria massacre”, in which 8 people from two families were shot dead.
Last Thursday, the number of victims of the accident in Egypt rose to 8, after the death of the injured 7-year-old.
The investigations of the Public Prosecution revealed new details in the incident, which was also known as the “Al-Mardouma Canal Massacre”, as it was found that the accused attempted suicide twice after committing his crime and leaving the apartment where the accident took place.
The investigations and the defendant’s confessions showed that after escaping from the crime scene, he went to a pharmacy, bought a “scalpel” and tried to cut the arteries of his hand to save his life, but he failed and sustained a wound to his wrist.
According to the investigations, the accused (40 years old) tried to commit suicide for the second time and went to the railway track to throw himself in front of the train, but he failed, saying: “The train is not allowed.”
