Shocked, Indonesian Street Photographer Shots Uploaded to Apple’s Instagram

JAKARTA – There is something interesting from the upload of Apple’s Instagram account five days ago. Usually, Apple uploads photos of landscapes, close-ups, or animals, which are taken from various countries. But this time, the account uploaded a photo from Semarang, Central Java.

This photo, taken by Rezha Amran, a public relations practitioner in Jakarta who loves photography, especially street photography, focuses on showing a typical trader in most traditional markets in Indonesia.

But the merchant’s face was darkened like a shadow, and the lighting was more acceptable to the goods around the merchant.

With peddlers in front of them, piles of cardboard behind, to hanging crackers, confirms that this photo was taken from Indonesia.

“Don’t lose what is hidden in the shadows,” wrote the @apple account in the caption.

Like a magnet, this upload attracts the citizens of the country to comment on the upload. The majority of them expressed pride.

How not, the account of the technology giant from the United States often uploads photos from iPhone users around the world who use the hashtag #ShotoniPhone.

However, perhaps none of the more than 850 uploads shared by the Apple account on Instagram have come from Indonesia.
