The coalition “Continuing the Change” – “Democratic Bulgaria” received the most donations for the local elections, it is clear from a reference in the register of the Audit Chamber, reports BGNES.
The total amount of donations to the coalition is BGN 347,621.79 and another BGN 12,727.20 in kind donations. The largest single donation for PP-DB is worth BGN 50,000.
BSP ranks second – with a total of BGN 176,169.00 and non-monetary donations worth BGN 11,500.00. An interesting fact is that the largest personal donation to the BSP was for Vanya Grigorova’s campaign – 2000 BGN from Georgi Kadiev.
The donations for “Revival” are BGN 52,000, two of which are worth BGN 10,000 each.
The donations to “There is such a people” total BGN 23,543.63.
Only BGN 2,449.20 was donated to GERB, non-monetary donations were BGN 240.00.
DPS have no donations for the local elections.
The winner of the elections in Sofia, Vasil Terziev, received BGN 468,099.45 in donations. The largest – nearly BGN 180,000 – is from the entrepreneur Bogomil Balkanski.
BGN 113,180 was donated to Vanya Grigorova, who lost the runoff.
The largest single donation was for independent MP Radostin Vassilev, who ran for mayor of the capital. Svetoslav Stavrev donated BGN 200,000 to his campaign.
The total value of the donations to the parties and coalitions for the local elections is BGN 2,268,115, of which monetary donations are BGN 2,224,149, and non-monetary donations are BGN 43,966. They were collected from 1091 individuals.
