But the DIS insisted that he should have been paid more. DIS attorney said on the 14th: “Nymar’s rights were not sold to the highest bidder.” Some clubs have offered up to € 60 million, “he said.
In other words, they should have signed a € 60 million contract instead of € 57.1 million, and they claim they should get more money for it.
Neymar denied the allegations of fraud and corruption. However, in 2017, he lost his appeal to the Spanish High Court and Spanish prosecutors formally indicted him and the first trial will take place on the 17th.
Neymar is required to appear in court on the first day of the trial under the rules. However, it is not yet known whether he will be present during the two-week trial.
Spanish prosecutors asked Neymar for two years in prison and a fine of 10 million euros. Neymar is not the only person accused in this trial. Parents, Barcelona officials and Santos officials were also tried. .
