Shock find in the forest: Walkers find a severed body part

Staten Island – With this shocking find, a 42-year-old walker who only wanted to go for a leisurely walk with his Dog wanted to shoot, probably not expected: In the “North Mount Loretto State Forest” in the New York district of Staten Island, the animal owner found a real human hand. Like the local one police recently announced that the owner of the body part has already been identified.

Authorities have found that the hand belongs to a deceased woman who was buried in a cemetery about a mile from the site, according to authorities.

According to the coroner, the 53-year-old lady died in 2011 and was in a wooden coffin at the “Resurrection Cemetery”, a Catholic burial ground.

Investigators suspect the hand was removed around February 27, 2023, when excavations for a new burial were taking place next to the resting place.

The police currently assume that a kind of excavator severed the deceased’s hand and unloaded it with the excess earth in a nearby row of trees.

In a statement to silive.com the cemetery spokesman announced: “The remains will be reburied with respect.”
