Wednesday’s match between Dukla and Slavia was the highlight of the third round of this year’s MOL Cup. Czech fans could then enjoy an aperitif before the big weekend Prague derby. They rejoiced over the clash with Sparta with a victorious fight over Juliska.

The home team has played two cup games so far. First, they overcame third-league Hostouň, then they faced a team from Libčany, playing in the Králové-Hradecky regional championship. It was the first cup appearance for Jindřich Trpišovský’s side this season.

Slavia enters the second half with two line-up changes, Douděra and Sore are replaced by Kačarab and Tecl. Three minutes after half-time, Ondřej Kolář neutralized an interesting chance for Moulis and then managed two corner situations.

The next part of the game was Slavia, who threatened mainly from the left, from where David Jurásek sent several unpleasant crosses into the box. But the score hasn’t changed. On the other hand, however, a great opportunity for the Korean Kim, who failed with his attempt after a quick counterattack.

The winning goal came in the 64th minute, when the visiting team took the lead thanks to Ewerton. The Brazilian aimed his quick shot from the ground from outside the box to the left post out of reach of the man in Jan Čtvrtečka’s gloves. Stanislav Tecl also had great credit for this goal, which stopped the opponent and scored an assist.

Ten minutes later, a beautiful football moment was shown. In the penalty area, Lukáš Masopust shoots from the first and increases without compromise the advantage of the red and white with his very precise shot. In this case, the quarterback didn’t have many chances to prevent a goal.

In the 88th minute Dukla played a direct free kick, Huf sent his attempt to strike the crossbar. The whole match ended with goals scored by the favorite team. First, Peter Olayinka beat the home goalkeeper twice after a winning combination.

The result was 0: 4 by Stanislav Tecl, who headed Čtvrtečka into the running and scored into an empty net. Slavia thus moved on to the next round of the MOL Cup and can continue to fight for the trophy of the cup.
