Bola.com, Bangkalan – Manager Madura UnitedUmar Wachdin, admitted that he was shocked by the news of the postponement of the match Persis Solo. The 21st week of the BRI Liga 1 match was originally going to take place at the Manahan Stadium, Surakarta, Tuesday (5/12/2023) evening WIB.
The delay cannot be separated from changes in permits to use Manahan Stadium. Even though the 2023 U-17 World Cup will be completed this weekend, Persis still cannot use the stadium with a capacity of 20,000 spectators.
The Surakarta Youth and Sports Service (Dispora) was forced to cancel the permit. Manahan Stadium must remain sterile until the handover process from the Public Works & Public Housing Service (PUPR) on December 7 2023.
A similar thing also happened to Persebaya Surabaya who intended to hold a match against PSIS Semarang at Gelora Bung Tomo, Surabaya. Due to not getting permission to use the stadium, the match in Week 20 was finally postponed.
“We were shocked to hear that the match was postponed Persis Solo oppose Madura United. “We have prepared everything, starting from the training program, transportation and accommodation, we have prepared everything,” he said.
