Sergei Shnurov wrote a statement to the police, in which he complained about Joseph Prigogine. According to lawyer Alexei Dobrynin, the musician – and for some time now a journalist and politician – accuses the producer of threats of physical violence.
According to reports, the conflict occurred after a series of poetic publications by Shnurov on the social network. Later, Prigozhin told the media that he was ready to go to the point of assault because of criticism of his wife, singer Valeria. Shnurov himself stated that he received offensive messages from his opponent.
According to the lawyer, Prigozhin’s actions “fall under the signs of corpus delicti … the threat of causing grievous bodily harm.” Such an offense is punishable by up to five years in prison. The lawyer is confident that the investigation will initiate a pre-investigation check.
The lawyer added that another statement was filed with the police, which is “preventive” – so that the opponent “does not go from threats to actions” while the check is underway. On the basis of this statement, the police will be obliged to notify Prigozhin of the inadmissibility of illegal actions.
