The Prime Minister called for the development of the Affordable Mortgage 7% program also in small towns.
Prime Minister Denis Shmygal on Friday, September 24, held a meeting with representatives of the banking sector. During the meeting, its participants discussed, among other things, mortgage lending programs, reported press service of the prime minister.
During the talks, the head of the Cabinet of Ministers stressed the importance of strengthening the investment component of the program Available loans 5-7-9% and obliged the Ministry of Finance, together with regional leaders, to work out mechanisms for its improvement.
“Our task is to make the program of affordable loans more actively used by entrepreneurs who create jobs and stimulate the development of the economy,” Shmygal said.
In addition, he stated the effectiveness of the presidential program Affordable mortgage 7% and called for its expansion.
“To date, mortgage loans are already being issued by 17 banks. 847 loan agreements have been signed for a total of more than UAH 722 million. The program is working, and we must develop it further – not only in cities with a population of one million, but also in small towns, so that more Ukrainians could get affordable and high-quality housing, “the prime minister said.
Earlier, the head of the National Bank Kirill Shevchenko said on the return of the level of mortgage lending in Ukraine to the indicators of 2018, which, according to him, indicates the recovery of the economy from the coronavirus crisis.
