Before the match, Emil Sylvegård called the match a match of “life and death” from a sporting perspective.

But the Redhawks stood for a flat match and Timrå kept to his plan completely, and made almost a spotless match, where Jacob Johansson could keep a clean sheet and counter the 25 shots that the Redhawks got in the way during the match.

Timrå won the match 3-0 after the last shot went into an empty goal cage. This despite the fact that several players were missing and they were forced to play with only five backs. Forsberg: “Must not happen in a match like this”

– Reluctantly, we are worse this year than we were last season. We know we can do it, and now we have to take each other by the hand and really do it together.

You have a tendency to lose the concept in the matches.

– There is probably something in it if it is the image that exists of us. I think we fall out of the frame and become tall in the team. Then you get the wrong timing and then it becomes really difficult to play hockey against a team like Timrå, says the Malmö forward.

Why is that?
– We come out great. We showed that we wanted the baton, but then it gets really wet after our powerplay and we become desperate in the wrong position, and low on energy. Everything that must not happen in a match like this, says Forsberg.

You have ended up in a really difficult situation and need to move on.

– That’s right, and you can not feel sorry for yourself. You have to be pissed off at your efforts tonight if you are now, and then you have to come here tomorrow with energy, because that’s what we need now.

Timrås goalkeeper with third zero

For Jacob Johansson, it was the third zero of the season.

The team has also acquired the positive habit of starting to win away from home. After a nightmare suite, when they lost all the away matches they lined up in, they have suddenly beaten Leksand, Luleå and Malmö away.

– It is very strong. If you want to get somewhere in a table, it is important to win even away. We have started to do that now, says Johansson.

The three points are more important than keeping a zero, right?

– Much more important. But it’s clear it’s fun, but it’s points to the team we need now. I think we play smart and do it all over the course. Malmö is heavy to face, but we do not let them get to the finish line, so the whole team helps me in an incredibly good way. Then it will not be so difficult to reach the finish line either.
