It is a two-storey house with a long rear building, which has been completely renovated. At around 7:45 am, part of the ceiling of the first floor collapsed for an unknown reason, while six workers were present. “Workers were carrying out renovation work in a back building on Waterlousesteenweg,” says Walter Derieuw of the Brussels fire brigade.
One worker died and three colleagues were seriously injured in the collapse. “Two other workers escaped unscathed.” The Labor Department is currently investigating the circumstances of the accident.
