The name of the 32nd NHL franchise has not yet been decided – but the name of the old “KeyArena” is. None other than Amazon has secured the naming rights.
Work on the multifunction arena, which will become the home of the new NHL franchise, is in full swing. It was announced today that Jeff Bezos and Amazon have secured the name rights to. The arena with over 17,000 spectators was given the name “Climate Pledge Arena”.
Amazon has bought the naming rights to Seattle’s NHL arena.

According to Bezos, one refrained from an “Amazon Arena” because one still wants to emphasize the importance of the climate. The “Climate Pledge Arena” will be the first “zero carbon arena” in the world to produce zero pollutants.
