Self-consumption of produced electricity, reduction of 9.2 tons of annual greenhouse gases
[인더스트리뉴스 최용구 기자] Shinsung ENG (CEO Lee Ji-seon) announced on the 23rd that it applied color BIPV Solar Skin to the Administrative Welfare Center in Doosan-dong, Daegu.
The color BIPV solar skin was installed with a total capacity of 15.3 kW in buildings subject to mandatory installation of renewable energy.
According to Shinsung ENG, the power produced through solar modules is self-consumed. The expected carbon reduction effect is 9.2 tons CO2-eq per year.
BIPV solar skin uses fluoropolymer film (ETFE). It comes in a variety of colors, including ivory, terracotta, and gray, and has an output of over 200W.
BIPV Solar Skin acquired ‘KS C 8577 certification.’ Shinsung ENG is developing and applying various color versions with Kolon Global.
We are collaborating with ABM, a construction technology company, on installation distribution. BIPV does not require a separate installation area and is suitable for the domestic environment.
An official from Shinsung ENG predicted, “With the expansion of zero energy buildings, the domestic BIPV market size will grow to 900 billion won by 2030.”
He said, “In preparation for mandatory BIPV installation being applied to private buildings, we will expand its application to large-scale spaces such as public facilities and apartments.”
Meanwhile, the government will require zero energy building grade 5 for newly built private apartment complexes with more than 30 households starting in 2024. Grade 5 must meet an energy independence rate of 20-40%.
