[마이데일리 = 심재희 기자] The Korea Handball Association (KOHA) opens the new season at the Olympic Park Handball Stadium in Songpa-gu, Seoul on the 10th. Shinhan SOL Pay 2024-2025 Handball H League opening ceremony will be held. Images and game videos of H-League players will be converted into characters using AI technology, and animations will be presented to fans.
The Korea Handball Federation collaborated with Millennial Works, a company specializing in AI virtual content such as AI photo booth and V-Tuber. Millennial Works uses its own AI character conversion solution technology to allow fans to see H-League players as cute AI characters. In domestic sports, the Handball H League is the first to implement all league players as AI characters.
The AI character for each player is displayed along with the player’s original image using the LED H-bar in the stadium when introducing the player in each game. The game highlight video will also convert player images and movements into AI animation to make the fun of handball more familiar to fans. The cute player characters created with AI technology are expected to further increase intimacy with fans. Fans get to meet players from a new perspective that they have never seen before.
In the women’s division, where the first match will begin on January 1 next year, a total of 40 players, 5 from each team, will enter the court and say thank you to the fans. We directly deliver a message asking you to support the H-League. Promotional comments are handled by Osara of the Gyeongnam Development Corporation. This will be followed by a first ceremony where fans ask the coaches and players, and a referee’s oath for fair game operation.
The Korea Handball Federation also operates the league with fan-first as the top priority in the Shinhan SOL Pay 2024-2025 Handball H League. The slogan for this season was ‘Throw in your passion.’ Starting at 11:15 a.m. on the 10th, just before the opening ceremony, the women’s players will meet fans for the first time in a long time. The women’s fan signing event will be attended by Kang Kyeong-min from SK Shugles, Oh Sara from Gyeongnam Development Corporation, Jeong Jin-hee from Seoul City Hall, Kim Min-seo from Samcheok City Hall, Kim Da-young from Busan Facilities Corporation, Kim Seol-hee from Incheon City Hall, Seo A-ru from Gwangju City Hall, and Ji Eun-hye from Daegu City Hall. In addition, the ‘All Park Cheer Up Festival’ featuring 15 junior cheerleading teams will be held from 9:40 to 11:20 a.m. to raise the mood for the opening of the H-League.
Shinhan SOL Pay 2024-2025 Handball H League starts with the men’s game between Doosan and Hanam City Hall to be held at 1 PM on the 10th, and will be held in Seoul, Busan, Daegu, Incheon, Gwangju, Cheongju, Gwangmyeong, Samcheok, and Taebaek until April 27 next year. It will be held for 6 months in 9 locations across the country. The women’s competition will begin on January 1, 2025. The regular league consists of 75 games in total, 25 games per team in the 5th round of the men’s league, and 21 games per team in the 3rd round of the women’s league, for a total of 84 games. It will run until April 13, 2025, and postseason games such as semi-PO/PO/championship games are scheduled from April 18 to 27.
Shinhan SOL Pay 2024-2025 Handball H League airs all games on Mac Sports TV. It will also be broadcast live on mobile devices on Adot and Naver.
