Coach national team Indonesia Shin Tae-yong make sure his squad is ready to take the hit Malaysia in the first game AFF U-23 Cup 2023 which will be held in Thailand.
Malaysia will be the main opponent Indonesian National team in the 2023 U-23 AFF Cup. The match will be held at the Rayong Provincial Stadium, Thailand, Friday (18/8/2023).
In the 2023 U-23 AFF Cup, the Indonesian National Team was joined in Group B with Malaysia and Timor read. After facing Malaysia, the Garuda squad will face Timor Leste on Sunday (20/8/2023).
Even though the Indonesian national team is not supported by a number of top players, Shin Tae-yong is confident that his squad will be able to beat the Malayan Tigers in Group B’s inaugural match.
“Our preparations are very good. We are ready to face Malaysia and Timor Leste,” said Shin Tae-yong through his official statement in Jakarta, Thursday (17/8/2023).
“I can’t bring many core players who play in the Indonesian League. So, there are a lot of new players here,” continued the coach from South Korea.
Shin Tae-yong himself has prepared the Garuda Muda team for four days in Thailand. He added that he would reduce the composition of players which is almost the same as the last SEA Games.
