Indonesian national team obsessed with finishing problems before tackling Vietnam 2022 AFF Cup Semi-Finals. Garuda Trainer Shin Tae-yong busy solving the problem.
Indonesian national team will host Vietnam at Gelora Bung Karno Main Stadium (SUGBK), Jakarta, Friday (6/1/2023), 4.30pm WIB. Ahead of this match, the Indonesia national team is still constrained by finishing issues that are feared could recur when they meet Vietnam.

“Opportunities that were not used properly by the players in the group stage match, after the match against the Philippines was over even though we qualified, I scolded and got angry with the players in the locker room,” said Shin Tae- yong in a press release, Thursday (5/1).
“But now the players must also be able to forget the past. And also training for the previous two days and today it’s the same for finishing. The match was good and growing,” he added.
Of the four games in the group stage, many players missed golden opportunities. Starting with Witan Sulaeman, Egy Maulana Vikri, Hansamu Yama Pranata, up to Fachruddin Aryanto.
Take for example when you meet the Philippines, Indonesian national team conducted 17 trials, according to field data. However, only six of them hit the target.
Aside from that, Shin Tae-yong pointed out that his players have made him better in practice. It remains only to hope that this problem will not arise again when Garuda meets Vietnam.
“Now the finish is good. So tomorrow’s match will definitely be even better. I have prepared myself so that there are no more words that we are unlucky or not good at finishing,” he said Shin Tae-yong.
