Shin Tae-yong Cancels Naturalization of Kevin Diks for the Indonesian National Team, Exchanges with Ragnar Oratmangoen

Bola.com, Jakarta – PSSI Executive Committee (Exco) member Hasani Abdulgani said that the coach Indonesian National team, Shin Tae-yong refused to apply for Kevin Diks for naturalization.

Hasani revealed, Shin Tae-yong withdrew Kevin Diks’ name because of a conflicting position with Sandy Walsh. They both play as right wing defenders.

Previously, Shin Tae-yong asked PSSI to naturalize four players of European descent for the sake of Indonesian National team. The four are Sandy Walsh, Kevin Diks, Jordi Amat, and Mees Hilgeers.

Hasani explained that Shin Tae-yong offered the name Ragnar Oratmangoen as a substitute for Kevin Diks to be naturalized.

“Because Kevin Diks’ position is considered the same as Sandy Walsh, finally coach Shin Tae-yong swapped Diks for Ragnar Oratmangoen,” Hasani said on his social media account, including Facebook, Wednesday (12/22/2021) morning WIB.

“Until today, the documents that are almost 90 percent complete are Jordi Amat and Sandy Walsh. Meanwhile, Mees Hilgers is not yet complete,” said Hasani.
