Shin Tae-yong and Park Hang-seo compliment each other

Jakarta

Duel Indonesia vs Vietnam became a tactical battle arena for South Korean coaches. Before the fight, Shin Tae-yong and Park Hang-seo compliment each other.

Indonesia vs Vietnam presented at Bishan Stadium in Group B continued AFF Cup 2020, Wednesday (15/12/2021) evening WIB. Both teams have collected six points, but Garuda’s squad is superior in terms of goal difference.

This match presents a tactical battle between Shin Tae-yong in the Indonesian side and Park Hang-seo in Vietnam. The Indonesian coach is well aware that Vietnam is the toughest opponent in this match.

“Vietnam is the strongest team in the AFF Cup. They are candidates for the championship. If the players are able to perform well, are confident, and carry out tactics with 100 percent, I believe we can beat Vietnam,” said Shin Tae-yong.

Shin Tae-yong once lost to Vietnam made by Park Hang-seo in the 2022 World Cup Qualifiers. Indonesia was rolled 0-4 in the June 2021 duel in Dubai.

Park Hang-seo did not take this result as a benchmark for Indonesia’s quality. He emphasized that the Indonesian squad in the 2020 AFF Cup was different from the duel in the middle of this year.

“We met Indonesia in the 2022 World Cup qualifiers, and I also saw their match (in the AFF Cup). Under Shin Tae-yong’s tutelage, Indonesia played well, the changes were very different compared to when we met in June. I think they will become a tough opponent for us,” said Hang-seo.

“Shin Tae-yong’s abilities have been tested in Korea. He was a former coach of the (South Korean) team at the World Cup, so there is no doubt about his abilities. I really appreciate that.”

“We are from the same country. But I am currently leading the Vietnam team, and he is coaching the Indonesian team. I am still aiming for victory with good results,” he said.
