Shin Tae-yong about Defeating 1-7: Several Things Have Developed, the U19 National Team is Still in Process Page all

KOMPAS.com – Coach U19 national team Indonesia, Shin Tae-yong, spoke up after his team was defeated by Croatia on Saturday (8/9/2020) evening WIB.

Competing at the SRC Mladost Stadium, the Indonesian U19 national team collapsed with a score of 1-7.

Even though they lost by a landslide, the Garuda Muda squad managed to score their first goal at the International U19 Friendly Tournament 2020 which was held in the middle of this training camp.

The first goal for the U19 national team was scored by Bagas Kaffa in the 73rd minute after receiving a cross from the left wing.

Shin Tae-yong said that his team had progressed in a few moments, compared to when they lost to Bulgaria in the first match.

“There were several moments in the match that the players played quite well compared to the previous match (Bulgaria),” Shin said, quoted from the PSSI website.

“However, this sure result is disappointing because we lost badly,” said the South Korean coach.

Shin Tae-yong added that the mentality of his foster children still had to be honed.

This is after he saw several opportunities or momentum that were not executed properly by his players.

“We must immediately fix the existing shortcomings,” he said.

“What is clear is that the team is still in process because the training material is high intensity,” stressed the South Korean coach at the 2018 World Cup.

With these successive defeats, the Indonesian U19 national team occupies the caretaker of the standings with zero points.

In the first match, the Garuda Muda squad lost 0-3 to Bulgaria.
