Shiki-Shima means “island of the four seasons”. Japanese manufacturers launched this ultra-luxury residential train in 2017.
The trip starts from Ueno Station in Tokyo and lasts two days in summer and three days in winter. Lunch and dinner are served as the train rolls north towards the Yuzawa mountain resort, and passengers get to know all the amenities on board. The final station is Hokkaido.
