The heated discussion regarding coal took place in a meeting between Commission VII DPR RI and the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) Arifin Tasrif. There is a ‘queen coal‘ was mentioned in this meeting. Who’s he?
Member of Commission VII DPR RI Muhammad Nasir initially talked about mining supervision. Then he called the ‘coal queen’ who was never caught named Tan Paulin.
“Our stone keeps disappearing, and until there is a mention of the queen of coal, but this person is not arrested. What was his name, this was 1 million and 1 month in production, who is this person, but there is no ESDM report to us, Tan Paulin his name. I said catch this person, who is protecting this person?” he said in a meeting with the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources, Thursday (13/1/2022).
Nasir continued, Tan Paulin’s ‘coal queen’ sells the mining products abroad. This is said to have an impact on infrastructure in East Kalimantan.
“This stone is stolen but it can be sold abroad, it’s a mess. Everyone knows the players coal and the mine was taken by them all. When we visited East Kalimantan, what was discussed, sir. Because of him, all the infrastructure built by the regional government is damaged,” he said.
Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Arifin Tasrif then responded to Nasir. Arifin asked Nasir to speak the truth, and Nasir responded back that it was a fact in East Kalimantan.
“Yes, I know I know that, but the others, please use the correct language,” replied Arifin.
