On Wednesday night, it became clear that Sheryl Sandberg is resigning as deputy head of Meta Platforms.
She writes that in a post on Facebook.
– Today I share the news that after 14 years I will leave Meta, Sandberg writes initially in the post.
The director brags about Mark Zuckerberg and says the meeting with the entrepreneur changed her life.
She describes the start of the Facebook adventure as chaotic, but Sandberg highlights three promises as essential for success.
– So on the way in I asked Mark for three things – that we should sit next to each other, that he should meet me one-on-one every week, and that in those meetings he would give me honest feedback when he thought I was messing up to something, writes the deputy.
She nevertheless emphasizes that the future is not written in stone.
Fourteen years later, it’s time for me to write the next chapter in my life. I’m not quite sure what the future will bring – I’ve learned that no one ever is.
Zuckerberg describes the news as “the end of an era”.
“I will miss working next to you every day”, Zuckerberg writes in a comment below the post.
