The Egyptian lyric producer Yasser Khalil filed a lawsuit against Mohamed Abdel Wahab, the brother of actress Sherine Abdel Wahab, accusing him of insulting and slandering her.
And this came, after 5 years had passed since a long series of conflicts between the Egyptian artist Sherine Abdel Wahab and her former director, Yasser Khalil, started with the rumor of their marriage, and then a court ruling in his favor against her husband, the artist Hossam Habib, and finally a lawsuit against her brother.
An Egyptian court has scheduled a hearing, on September 5, to hear the lawsuit filed by Khalil v. Mohamed Abdel-Wahab, before the Misdemeanor Court.
Sherine’s brother, her former business manager, has previously been accused of inciting a woman named “Ibtihaj al-Abed” to publish the story of Sherine and her husband Hossam Habib’s recent outbreak, prompting Khalil to sue him.
The crisis of Khalil and Shirin began when the social networking sites buzzed in 2015 with the news of their secret marriage, as Shirin denied the rumor by publishing a picture of her with him, confirming that he is “a friend and brother and is only responsible for her works.”
A year after that rumor spread, a new rumor spread with a fight between Shirin’s brother and her manager, which the artist also denied, but announced her retirement at that time, adding to the controversy over her deteriorating relationship with Khalil.
In 2017, Sherine decided to abandon her business manager, Yasser Khalil, after years of controversy over their relationship with each other, but she abandoned him without any hassle or dispute.
The name “Khalil” returned to the media scene again, when Sherine made a mistake after her concert in Bahrain by saying that the Nile waters caused “schistosomiasis,” which caused her audience to open fire on her attack, and the matter developed judicially, amid Khalil’s accusations of leaking the video to cause this incident, Which the latter denied.
Hossam Habib’s relationship with his wife’s business manager was tightened, until she reached the accusation of Khalil Lahbib of attempting to kill him for defaming him with a firearm in his face, in a case in which a court ruling was issued against “Habib” with imprisonment for one year and financial compensation of 10 thousand pounds.
