The details of the complaint submitted by the legal advisor, Yasser Kantoush, the star’s lawyer, Sherine Abdel Wahab, stated that the defendant seized all of her accounts, including exploiting those sites, and published her songs in an attempt to make her fans believe that she was the one publishing on those sites. Without obtaining a permit from her, which caused her serious damage, and on one occasion compensation was awarded against the complainant because the complainant had published songs related to Sherine’s contract with a company.
The report added that the complainant contracted with Anghami and published the song “Bahalaflik” without obtaining its approval. He also contracted with Spotify without obtaining its permission, and among the sites seized was her YouTube channel on which he published songs without its approval. He obtains the revenues resulting from publishing these songs for himself, in addition to seizing her accounts on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and TikTok, and prevents her from publishing her songs and promoting her concerts through these accounts.
The statement explained that the defendant took over the official page of the star Sherine Abdel Wahab and published the song “Uncle Al Qassam” on it without her consent.
The statement said, “The star’s legal advisor, Sherine Abdel Wahab, asked the Attorney General to kindly review and take the necessary legal measures and bring the defendant to criminal courts on charges of violating the law on combating information technology crimes and seizing the complainant’s official websites without her knowledge or consent, and profiting from that seizure.”
It is worth noting that producer Mohamed Al-Shaer had accused Sherine Abdel-Wahab of insulting and slandering, and filed a report against her.
