Sheriff’s Department closes illegal club in Queens, 132 people found – Telemundo New York (47)

New York law enforcement managed to dismantle and close an illegal nightclub in a critical area due to the spike in new COVID cases in Queens.

The New York City Sheriff’s Department found more than 132 people inside the scene, at 14-25 Central Ave, a yellow zone in Far Rockaway.

Investigators noted that the club violated emergency orders established to curb the increase in COVID-19 cases, in addition to serving liquor without a license.

The authorities charged one of the organizers with several minor crimes and violations of the health code.

This is not the first club to be dissolved by the authorities this week. Last weekend, nearly 600 people were found inside a party at an illegal warehouse in the Bronx.

And the night before, nearly 400 people were found inside a party at a warehouse in Brooklyn.
