The taikonauts of the Shenzhou-17 mission will continue conducting experiments and will star in a spacewalk to repair the solar panels of the Chinese Tiangong station.
The Chinese Manned Space Agency launched the mission this Thursday Shenzhou-17 with three taikonauts on board heading to the Tiangong national space station. As scheduled, the Shenzhou spacecraft will dock with the Tiangong station about six and a half hours after entering the planned orbit, about 380 kilometers above Earth.
The trio of Shenzhou-17, the Asian giant’s 12th manned space mission, will be welcomed by the crew of the previous mission, which has remained on the station for almost five months.
