PT Shell Indonesiaa fuel oil (BBM) supply company, raised prices BBM simultaneously starting Saturday (2/4). Exactly at 00:00 WIB, the price of fuel at Shell in all regions was reported to have increased, ranging from the Super type to the VPower Diesel.
“The increase is as of 2 (April) 00:00 WIB, because yesterday it was still Rp. 13,000, now it has increased, from the center it has gone up straight away,” said Arga, an officer of Shell Bintaro Sector 7 to CNNIndonesia.com.
Specifically for the Jakarta, Banten, West Java and East Java areas, the price of Shell Super fuel with RON 92 increased by Rp3,010, from Rp12,990 to Rp16 thousand per liter.
Then, the price of Shell V-Power fuel with RON 95 also increased by Rp. 2,000 from Rp. 14,500 to Rp. 16,500 per liter.
Meanwhile, Shell V Power Diesel fuel rose the most, at IDR 4,350 per liter from IDR 13,750 to IDR 18,100 per liter.
According to Arga, many drivers have switched to Shell since Pertamina raised the price of Pertamax gasoline from Rp. 9,000 to Rp. 9,400 per liter to Rp. 12,500 to Rp. 13,000.
So, said Arga, the stands behind which are usually closed were opened yesterday, Friday (1/4).
“Yesterday from morning to evening, so it didn’t stop,” he said.
Ade, Arga’s colleague at Shell, said that the queue stretched all the way back because so many drivers came from Pertamina. However, because the price of Shell is now rising, it is now empty of visitors.
“Yesterday, it was very busy, until there were queues behind it. It was snaking, because it went up again (the price). When we moved, Pertamina had moved here yesterday,” said Arga.
