After a first evaluation meeting on the damage caused by Hurricane John in Acapulco, Guerrero, and Michoacán, President Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo instructed members of her cabinet to support the emergency and the needs of the population. “The most urgent thing is the supply of drinking water and the restoration of roads,” he said in a message on social networks.
After leading a meeting at the port, together with members of his government team, with the governors of Guerrero, Evelyn Salgado, and of Michoacán, Alfredo Ramírez Bedolla, he specified that he left instructions to Conagua and the Secretariat of Infrastructure, Communications and Transportation to support the municipality.
“Tomorrow we will have another meeting to evaluate the effects on all the municipalities of Guerrero and make the support plan,” he said.
