The Emir of the State of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad, tweeted after His meeting with President Sisi In Cairo today, Friday, to discuss the situation in the Gaza Strip, the prince wrote: “My discussions with my brother Abdel Fattah al-Sisi come at a crucial stage in the development of the situation in Gaza due to Israel’s brutal aggression and blatant violation of international humanitarian law, which does not serve the achievement of lasting and comprehensive peace in the region.”
The Emir of the State of Qatar added on the “X” website: “All parties are required to intensify efforts to stop this war and alleviate the suffering of our Palestinian brothers.”
Today, President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi received Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Emir of the State of Qatar, who is visiting Egypt.
The official spokesman for the Presidency of the Republic, Counselor Ahmed Fahmy, stated that the President held a session of discussions with his brother Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad, which witnessed praise for the continued development in bilateral relations between the two brotherly countries, and the two leaders agreed to continue activating the various frameworks of cooperation and mechanisms of consultation and coordination at all levels between the two countries.
The meeting also discussed the Israeli military escalation in the Gaza Strip, and the associated regional challenges that are pushing the region in dangerous and uncalculated directions.
