Yesterday, His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, representative of the ruler in the Al Dhafra region, performed the blessed Eid Al Fitr prayer at the Nasser Sultan Bin Qaran Mosque in Al Dhanna, Al Dhafra Region. The prayer was performed alongside His Highness, Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Sheikh Hazza bin Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Sheikh Yas bin Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and a number of senior officials, dignitaries of the Al Dhafra region, and a group of worshipers from citizens and residents. And the mother of the worshipers and preacher of the Eid sermon, Dr. Ahmed Mubarak Al Mazrouei, who indicated that the blessings of God Almighty upon us are innumerable, and out of her complete gratitude is the keenness to perpetuate them in order to preserve the right of future generations to them, as the Holy Qur’an provided us with a clear model for managing and sustaining blessings.
He said that the Prophet of God, Yusuf, peace be upon him, faced the challenges of the future with hope, and urged agriculture and work to ensure the continuity of life and the sustainability of blessings, and that is the human task and responsibility to build the earth, develop its resources and sustain its bounties, and thank God for it.
Al-Khatib indicated that each generation completes what the previous one built, completes, adds to, and develops, and the believer is forbidden from corruption in the land, in accordance with the Almighty’s saying, “And do not spoil the earth after its reform.” Man is concerned with the sustainability of its capabilities and avoids wasting and extravagance in it, and water is one of the most important blessings that should be preserved. And the Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, forbade wasting water, even if it was in ablution, even if it was in a running river.
The Eid preacher emphasized that the continuity of blessings includes God’s blessings upon us in religion and the world. The believer is keen to perpetuate his connection with his Creator and to preserve his worship following the example of our master Muhammad, may God bless him and grant him peace. There is love in our society, we exchange congratulations and visits with each other, we uphold our ties of kinship, we spread peace, and we are keen on the causes of affection and harmony.
The preacher called on God Almighty to protect His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, may God protect him, his two deputies, his brothers, the rulers of the Emirates, and his faithful Crown Prince, for what he loves and pleases him, and to perpetuate the blessing of stability, progress and prosperity for the UAE. He also directed to God Almighty to have mercy on the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, may God rest his soul, and Sheikh Rashid and the founding leaders, Sheikh Maktoum and Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed, and to enter them, thanks to him, into the vastness of his gardens, and to include the martyrs of the homeland with the vastness of his mercy and forgiveness, and to have mercy on Muslims, men and women, Neighborhoods of them and the dead.
