ISTANBUL / OSLO (Aftenposten): Many years in prison or hoping that the wounds will heal on their own? Wounded Iranian protesters face an impossible dilemma.
The body of Amina, 30, is littered with holes.
He counts several hundred small wounds on his back and thighs. In some places, the metal still remains two weeks after Iranian security forces shot it.
Amina is from the city of Saqqez, in the Kurdish part of Iran. The same city where Mahsa (Jina) Amini, 22, the woman who died in the custody of the Iranian morality police almost six weeks ago, came from.
Amina and her friends are among the thousands of young protesters who have protested against the Iranian regime since Mahsa Amini’s death. Whenever they go out on the street, they take a big risk.
According to human rights groups, Iranian security forces are shooting at protesters with rifles and assault rifles.
Two weeks ago, Amina herself was shot. But going to the hospital was never an option. The injured protesters had to find another solution.
We warn you that this case contains strong images.
