“I deleted the sentence you are reading now several times before approving the post. I finally have to write it: I am officially ending my adventure with sports” – with these words, in August 2021, Emilia Ankiewicz announced that she was ending her professional career.
The athlete, specializing in the 400-meter hurdles, won numerous medals in national events during her professional career. Her greatest success was advancing to the semi-finals of her competition in Rio de Janeiro 2016, where she set a personal record with a time of 55.89.
Shortly after her career ended, a lot changed in her life. She stood on the wedding carpet and said the sacramental “yes” to Michał Obukowicz, a football referee. From April 2022, he has a double surname.
What has not changed is that today 33-year-old Emilia Ankiewicz-Obukowicz, whose beauty – when she was in the spotlight – Poles admired, and some even said that she was “one of the most beautiful Polish women”, still looks dazzling. See for yourself in the photos below.
