Andrea Raccagni Noviero remembered the death of Switzerland’s Muriel Furrer, 18, in an accident at the World Cycling Championships in Zurich

Andrea Raccagni Noviero took to social media to celebrate the death of Muriel Furrer, a young Swiss cyclist who lost her life after an accident due to bad weather at the Zurich Cycling World Championships.

“I wanted to make a good publication with some pictures of my experience at the world championship, but from the beginning I thought it was not right. Now it’s been a week and (apart from a few articles) no one is talking about it anymore. Now there is only one proof: a cyclist like me was left to die alone, for more than an hour, in the cold and in the rain, during the most important race of the year», he begins by to write.

“This publication may not be as useful as I would like it to be, but at least it gives me the opportunity to apologize to Muriel and her family. Because, as I said, this is also my fault and the fault of the other runners who never spoke up when they had obvious safety problems”, concluded the Italian.
