She wanted to kill him because, upon returning from the supermarket, where they had gone shopping together, he had stretched out on the sofa complaining about his health conditions. She could no longer stand her husband’s attitude. MC, 68, remains in prison, having stabbed his partner, RA, 77, with a large knife in his back several times. This was decided yesterday morning, at the conclusion of the validation hearing, by investigating judge Marilena Albarano, accepting the request made by prosecutor Gianpaolo Nuzzo. On the very eve of the attempted murder, a psychiatrist had diagnosed the woman, defended by lawyer Enrico Tedesco, with a mood disorder with emotional and behavioral breakdown, prescribing an ad hoc treatment.
The victim, from his hospital bed, reported to the Carabinieri of the Giffoni Valle Piana Station (Marshal Luigi Ferri), coordinated by the Battipaglia Company (Captain Samuele Bileti) that he had been suddenly attacked from behind by his wife while he was on the balcony. It was he who remembered his wife’s words before the stabbing: “Don’t worry, I won’t make you suffer.” Yesterday morning, during questioning, the former janitor said she was very sorry for what had happened and for the consequences that the gesture will have on the entire family unit.
