Chloë Sevigny revealed that she sometimes envies people who have “office jobs”.
The ‘Girl from Plainville’ actress revealed she sometimes feels guilty that her work as an actress means she can’t be with her two-year-old son Vanya for long periods of time, whom she raises with her husband Sinisa Mackovic.
And although she admitted that she was “very privileged” because of her job, she would often wish for the more settled routine of an office job. The star told The Sunday Times magazine: “I could cry just thinking about the fact that I’m a freaking actress and my career has to pay our mortgage. I mean I can’t complain. I’m very privileged, but there’s something to be envied about an office job when you have a kid. I’m trying to deal with a mother’s guilt, but it’s pretty disheartening.” The 47-year-old star also admitted she never stops caring about her son. “I haven’t had a massage in two years and when I go there I’m like, ‘Oh my god, is he okay? Did he fall? Will he get hit by a car?’ My friends always say, ‘These worries don’t help any of us, Chloë.’” She also worries that Vanya is growing up in the social media age and thinks a lot about how she can “protect” her son from it .
