Naked breasts, bare buttocks and a clear view of the intimate area – insights that many people try to hide in public. Sophia Lemke from Marktheidenfeld (district Main-Spessart) sees things differently. To take part in a TV dating show, the 25-year-old, who works in Würzburg, left her bikini at home and appeared naked in front of the cameras.
The suitcases for the four-week shoot for the format “Dating Naked” on the Thai island of Koh Samui were packed so quickly. But what has to happen in order to go naked on a South Sea island to look for a partner? “MTV wrote to me on my Instagram account and asked if I would like to take part in the show,” says Lemke. But she wasn’t immediately convinced.
Participation in TV show was like a class trip to school days
“I wasn’t sure if I really wanted that. The first time on TV and then straight away naked?” In the end, she was also convinced by her mother’s opinion. “She said that if she were my age, she would too.” And because Lemke really appreciates her mother’s assessment, she was already on the plane a few days later – with a good deal of excitement in her luggage.
But the 25-year-old was not worried about the idea of exposing her body in front of thousands of spectators. Rather, it was her lack of reality TV experience that got her pulse racing. “I didn’t know how to behave on a show like this and what you can say about it.”
Arriving at the villa with the other participants, her worries fell away from her just as quickly as her clothes. “The group was really cool. I got along really well with everyone and it kind of felt like I was on a class trip back then.” But in addition to all the fun, the TV show is all about one thing: finding love, right?
Well-known faces from other TV formats are taking part in the show
“The main argument for me was that I just wanted to have the experience of taking part in a television format,” says Lemke. But of course she was not averse to maybe meeting her soul mate there. Whether the Markheidenfeld woman fell in love with the dating show and ended her six-year single phase, she does not want to reveal to this editorial team.
In the show, Lemke will meet reality TV star Fabio De Pasquale, known from the RTL show “Temptation Island”, along with four other single women. On romantic and adventurous dates, De Pasquale should get to know the five candidates intensively and in the end maybe even fall in love with one of them.
Sophia Lemke is not afraid of negative comments.
The fact that she met her potential partner naked in front of a camera and thus skipped several phases of getting to know each other didn’t bother Lemke. “For me, being naked when dating has neither advantages nor disadvantages.” Because all the other participants were also without clothes, the fact was quickly forgotten and they behaved as if they were still wearing their clothes. No sign of fear of contact.
But 11,500 kilometers away in modest Bavaria, perhaps not everyone reacts so easily to Lemke’s TV appearance. “I don’t care, people are talking about me anyway because I’m very revealing on Instagram,” the Marktheidenfeld native replies to the comment. In Würzburg, quite a few people would know her profile, also because she used to work as a bartender in the Mannygreen nightclub. “Negative things always come behind my back and to be honest I don’t care.”

Being naked is nothing reprehensible, she explains. Her employer would not have objected to the program either. The trained process mechanic for plastics and rubber technology also openly communicated her participation there in advance. In the end, could she convince single man Fabio De Pasquale with her open-mindedness?
The broadcast runs online via the Paramount+ streaming service. So far, the candidate from Marktheidenfeld has not yet been seen in format. That could change in the next episode.
