Jakarta –
The new version of Shazam is equipped with more advanced capabilities. Apple’s music detection software can now recognize songs on YouTube, Instagram and TikTok in addition to music playing through the microphone.
“TikTok, YouTube, and Instagram are the newest music venues that Shazam can recognize. Just open Shazam, tap the blue button, and switch back to the app you’re using,” Shazam said as quoted by Ghacks.
Not only does it identify the song currently playing in another app, when you tag a song, Shazam will immediately add it to a playlist and keep track of the previously created tags.
Of course Shazam also works on Apple Music Classical. This new capability will help users open songs in the Apple Music Classical app, discover songs on the platform and add them to playlists much more quickly.
“The Apple Music Classical app now lets you play music from Shazam. Just Shazam or do a song search, then hit the menu icon on the track page and select “Open in Classical,” explains Shazam.
Android phones can also access Shazam. When identifying songs from other apps on the platform, those apps offer similar features. However, users must actively approve the permission to hear sound from other apps.
